It’s a tale as old as time… it’s the morning of October 31st and you realize you still haven’t put together a Halloween costume.
As a classic costume procrastinator, I feel your pain. So this year, I decided to do something about it - in this post, I’m going to share 4 easy last-minute Halloween costume ideas. These homemade Halloween costumes were curated for my millennial friends, but can of course be adapted for anyone. And because this is The Scrunchie Club, all of them feature scrunchies, of course. (How could I not?)
2021 saw the rise of the “Cheugy” millennial… so why not embrace it? We’re cheugy, and we’re proud.
According to Taylor Lorenz of the New York Times, “It’s not quite ‘basic,’ which can describe someone who is a conformist or perhaps generic in their tastes, and it’s not quite ‘uncool.; It’s not embarrassing or even always negative. Cheugy (pronounced chew-gee) can be used, broadly, to describe someone who is out of date or trying too hard.”
So throw on your old UGG boots and make a “Live, Laugh, Love” shirt on your cricut. You won’t need to buy anything to complete this look, and topical costumes are always a hit.
Zetus lupetus! If you own a denim vest and a pink long sleeve shirt, then you were destined to be Zenon. I don’t make the rules.
(And our Sweet Badass scrunchie would look…. badass with this outfit.)
We’re bringing the classic social network costume to the next level. Grab your iPhone, DSLR, ring light, Noodling Around scrunchie, and your favorite avocado toast for some #eeeeeeats this Halloween.
Don’t forget to take 10 photos of every food item you encounter. In the words of every food instagrammer, “the camera eats first.”
Would you rather be in your pajamas? Crush period stigma by dressing up as PMS… if it were a human being.
Here’s what you need:
A Necessities scrunchie wouldn’t hurt either. No makeup encouraged!
